Women
SCAD is developing the lives of thousands of women in the rural villages.
Living in a culture dominated by men, these women have learned how to cope with hard and gruelling conditions, yet their determination has made them strong.

Through giving them awareness of their human rights and building their confidence and leadership skills, SCAD is helping these women to continue their silent revolution and to raise their status within the community.

Entrepreneurial skills, income generation activities and Self Help Group schemes such as savings and bank loans are giving these women access to money for the first time. The sense of achievement and pride in making this happen fills these strong women with a new found self-confidence, which makes their strength and drive phenomenal.
This has all been possible through the establishment of Self-Help Groups, which SCAD started over 15 years ago.
SCAD now has more than 2,500 Women Self Help Groups, benefiting over 420,000 women
