People with Physical Disabilities
SCAD believes all people with physical disabilities can live a full and happy life where they can contribute to society as well as any other, providing they have the right access and support they require.
We are working with parents, schools and communities to educate them on the potential contribution people with physical disabilities can make, given the right access and treatment.
With the aid of SCAD many with physical disabilities have been successful in completing their education, some of which attended SCAD’s primary and secondary schools others have gone on for further studies and have been provided with employment opportunities, which mean that they are able to support themselves and their families.
Adults with physical disabilities, who have received no education, are provided with vocational skills training and seed capital to allow them to become self employed and start up their own business so that they can support themselves and contribute to their family.
